Profile
Professor Wei Li holds a Ph.D. in linguistics and communication studies. She previously served as a professor and doctoral supervisor at School of Foreign Languages, Peking University. Currently, she is associate dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of School of New Media, Peking University. She leads Creative Industries Research Center of Peking University and serves as deputy director of the National Standard Spoken and Written Chinese Language Promotion Base in Peking University under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.
She also serves as counsellor of the State Council, member of Central Committee of the China Democratic League (CDL), member of the standing committee of the CDL Beijing Municipal Committee, director of Central Women's Committee of the CDL, chairwomen of the CDL Peking University Committee, special researcher of the Capital Top Think Tank, Peking University.
